replacing injector drivers in SBEC/2
Have you replaced injector drivers in your SBEC or SBEC2?
I developed an easy procedure to get them off the board that I will write up shortly.
First does any one know what to replace these with.
They appear to be a 5 pin TO-220-5 MOSFET of some sort. Is something for peak and hold?
The V6 uses a standard TO-220-3, the 3 pin N-channel MOSFET. I was able to identify this with my "transistor tester" with a Vgs of 1.4V
Re: replacing injector drivers in SBEC/2
I have wondered this for a while. I mean, I know you can get injectors in both types, but I think I remember there is an advantage to the type we *don't* run. The question is, can the other hardware on the board support it?

Yes the board can support both, look like it is the driver chip (a TO-220 package) and 62 ohm resistor. I hope to verify this over the next month or so
We use the peak and hold for the low impedance injectors.

The 5 pin TO-220-5 injector driver chip is MC3484V4.

Miles, I found this thread in a search. I just wanted to verify this is the part number you located for the SBEC injector driver?
I have a new SBEC board that has an injector circuit fault. I'm having trouble tracking down the picture of the stripped board.

The part number is correct. I will send the documentation by email

Working on replacing drivers on my TIII SBEC1 ecu, figured I'd drop the photos here for posterity's sake, since this sort of thing disappears on FB pretty fast.

Hey Rob,
Thanks keep us in the loop. Were did you find the driver chips? Last time I checked they were going for around $30 each. A few years back Dan H found a few cheap on ebay.
PS watch out for MC3484 as they also came as a 1 Amp option rather than the desired 4 amp.

I haven't ordered them yet. I actually ended up deciding to go standalone on the car, so may or may not finish fixing the stock one.
