Removing Wheel studs from bolt-in hubs

I am trying to replace the wheel studs on my 91-up bolt-in hubs (Timken 513075) with ARP studs, but the old studs won't come out of the hub. The heads of the studs are D-shaped to clear the hub housing, but the heads are not oriented properly and when I attempt to press them out of the hub, they catch on the hub housing and won't come out far enough to allow me to rotate them.

Can the bolt-in hubs be disassembled and reassembled without being ruined, or pulled apart enough to give clearance to let the stud heads be turned to the correct orientation?

Or is grinding the heads off of the old studs the only option?

Could have used a cut off wheel, unless you were trying to save them.

The old studs are hammered out. This can be done with the hub's bolted to the knuckle. There is a channel for the stud to come out. May have to grind the channel some for the new longer studs.

Thanks for the replies/advice everybody, I got the studs changed by removing the hubs from the spindles, then pressing the center wheel hub partially out of the bearing to create clearance for the old stud heads to come out and the new ones to go in, then putting an old axle through the hub and tightening it to put everything back in position before bolting the hub assembly back onto the spindle.
