I like the way you set up the switch. mounting Looks sturdy enough and the switch itself is beefy. My main concern was whether or not my switch would be able to handle the abuse. An omron microswitch is strong but just wasn't going to cut it for me. I have mine the opposite way as you know from the thread. Thanks for taking pics of yours! Are you using the flat shift function with it mounted like that? I have my flatshift limit RPM set close to the RPM I will see after the shift and it works well. With my engine I have to wait a split second because the rotating mass doesn't want to slow down fast enough even with spark cut. Too much retard blows out my muffler(been through 2 chambered mufflers since using flatshift lol going to try a dynomax) If I had a lighter flywheel it would be perfect but I prefer a little heavier flywheel.
This should work for those that still want cruise. Whichever way they want to connect it. People shouldn't forget that the stock ECU can stay with megasquirt if that's the way they want it. Megasquirt CAN be a piggyback type setup.
Start the car in neutral. Only way to go.:thumb:
I dyno tuned it on E54 at ~24psi, resulted in 350whp
There are two set of dyno pulls on this graph.
Red lines - HP and torque when I started.
Blue lines - HP and torque when I left.
I'm far more impressed the engine is making 250whp at 12.5 psi than it is making 350whp at 24psi :eyebrows::eyebrows::eyebrows:

Removed the heartthrob baffled muffler and put in two 3 inch MagnaFlow 12219 and MagnaFlow 11249

Dyno on DynoJet this time.
First Dyno was at the same boost setting as my 350whp dyno just see if there is any the difference. I'm hitting same torque value 50rpm-300rpm sooner, peak torque comes at 4300rpm instead of 4600rpm. Peak torque is higher due to the boost spike. Boost is .5-.7 psi higher after the spike. The break down after 6000rpm was due to my knock sensor interference.

Reference.

Power run is 26psi with a spike over 29.2psi, which cause boost drop momentary, then the boost picked backup at around 26psi to the redline.

Flat torque curve run. Boost starts at 7.5 psi at 3400rpm and creep slowly to about 13.2 psi at 6800rpm. 248whp at 12.5 psi, this is my minimal boost setting. Ignore those two spikes and we have a pretty flat torque curve

Very interesting to see the difference in curve from a change in exhaust flow.
Albeit different dynos, but even more interesting that they are in fact very close to one another.
I took the liberty of plotting your Dynojet run vs your original 350WHP run for simple looksee comparo. :eyebrows:
Broke the passenger side long axle, inner joint.

It sucks, but we like the carnage pics!
After the DynoJet session, the boost spike issue is competely fixed. So I won't be hitting 397ft lb (29.2psi) again. Though my HP might go up a few numbers (steady 27psi vs 26psi).
Honestly, don't know. Car is not as loud with the 3 inch straight thru mufflers, and that is what I really after.
SAME exact time as my 2015 run, just 7 more mph.
There are still 2 to 3 mph left in the car, but I am not skill enough to extract them. Only two 12 seconds cars have higher trap speed than my car in the database :eyebrows:, *sigh* I suck at driving.

You would possibly be in the 11's if you were an auto.
But i know you like the 5spd...
Would need slicks either way ;)
Well what fun is that!! I think a set of smaller diameter slicks (24.5" or smaller) would help you not break parts ( axles). Definitely a high 11 sec car with a decent 60' with that mph. May drop a few mph with slicks, but still 11s capable. But I guess if you're done with these silly antics, there's no use talking about them. But I just have this feeling your not done.🙂

Would be nice if it is just axles.
