In your search note that the only difference between l-body and the larger cars housings is the larger cars used the return for the heater core coolant on the housing (5/8" nipple) while the L-bodies had the return on the radiator. You can use the larger car housing if you plug the nipple. This applies to early housings (through 1988). 1989 used a different housing and waterpump and changed direction of waterpump rotation.
Lots of these got corroded pretty bad after 30+ years of service.
