1990 Daytona VNT - Starts then shuts off - Thinking its the Anti theft

I have 1990 Daytona that starts, revs to 1800-2000 rpm then quits. If I try to crank it again, it just turns over without starting. If I turn the ignition off and then try starting it, it starts and then quits again. It did this a while back but I unlocked the drivers door twice with the key, as I was told this was the way to turn off the anti-theft. It's not working now. Is there another way to turn off the anti-theft or does anyone have any ideas?

I had some time to mess with the car. I unplugged the factory alarm control module that is behind the glove compartment. Plugged it back in and it started and stayed running!
