I think people use HPtuners or syked ecu to tune NGC vehicles.

Chromguy, Thanks for link! https://oshpark.com/profiles/BoostButton/page/2. If I have a 90 or 91 SBEC which board do I need that will allow me to use the SST 27SF512 Chip I have been using for my SMEC? I do flash my chip with a Burn2.
I did read about the need for the drilling of the 4-holes etc.
Thank you

The 27SF512 is a different beast. The new flash module...MPFlash is a replacement for the older chips and modules. Currently supporting 32K bin files and can be programmed from your PC via MPTune without the need for Burn2.

Re: Gauging interest in a new high capacity LM/SMEC/SBEC/SBEC2 flash module
I want in on this. I'll be good for four or more of these. I have a stack of SBEC and SBECII boards that I want to mess with.

Re: Gauging interest in a new high capacity LM/SMEC/SBEC/SBEC2 flash module
Development update!
Miles can update some of his recent progress, but the short version is the prototype boards are built, configured for a variety of ECU's for on- vehicle testing.
I received my test MPFlash modules configured for SMEC and SBEC.

I test fitted them into the boards and needed to clearance the potting a bit more on both ECU's.

Focusing on the SMEC, I needed to work out a connector for the switch wiring for MultiPlay (allow up to 4 seperate bins to be loaded/selected). I used a connector header I had (7POS), and drilled two extra blind holes to locate the connector on the edge of the MPFlash board.
This worked out pretty good.
This was after alot of measuring and figuring how best to locate a connector rather than just soldering wire directly into the MPFlash board.

Then had to extend the pins and solder things up.

And, the fit looks great, and the MultiPlay switch wiring will just exit out the ECU housing through the side. I will probably have to heat and reshape the lower half of the ECU housing just a bit in the area of this connector. But it fits within the current space of the board and under the potting height for clearance with the power board.

Re: Gauging interest in a new high capacity LM/SMEC/SBEC/SBEC2 flash module
Looking good Wayne,
I have tested all modes on the bench successfully. I am have been running the MPFlash (configured as SBEC) in my CSX nearly daily for the last week. I have multiple tunes loaded and all work as expected.
Re: Gauging interest in a new high capacity LM/SMEC/SBEC/SBEC2 flash module
Hit a milestone today.
Worked on the test SMEC with the prototype MPFlash that Miles configured for my SMEC.
Got the wires landed on the MPFlash for A15, Prog, & RW. Coated both sides of the MPFlash module with conformal coating. Soldered onto the test SMEC.
Took out to Slugmobile and set up in the engine bay. Using MPScandroid through the MPSciLink, I was able to read the preloaded bin Miles had loaded. And then flashed my cal for Slug 52pph/3bar, and it worked. Slug started right up and ran normally.
Next I need to test the other 3 bin locations after I set up some switches for the bin selector.

Oh and looks like I forgot to mention here, on the modified SMEC, the selector switch wiring connector looks like it will clear the lower half of the case without the need to reshape anything.

Very nice, thanks Wayne!
Re: Gauging interest in a new high capacity LM/SMEC/SBEC/SBEC2 flash module
Got my test SMEC all sealed up.
I really wish I could have found some clear flexible potting instead of this electronics RTV silicone. It encapsulates , but can't see through it.

Re: Gauging interest in a new high capacity LM/SMEC/SBEC/SBEC2 flash module
We have the ability to make available a limited edition OctoPlay MPFlash module quantity is also limited. Have up to 8 bins stored on the MPFlash.
Price would be $60 for just the assembled MPFlash OctoPlay module with the same wire pigtail and connector as the standard MultiPlay, but will require a different switch arrangement. So that would be seperate. (3 toggle switches, or one toggle an one 4 position rotary are some possible examples.)
Let us know if there is interest, I'll add it to the store page.
