I have a 87 shelby lancer project that just received a donor car as my girls 1989 lebaron 2.5 turbo was hit by a drunk driver while parked, anyway I would like to convert the harness in the lancer as the links are mostly toast what kind of project would i be getting myself into with that thanks for any tips

If you're good with electrical, it's not that bad. You could install a newer fuse block, or use maxi fuse holders. You could also get replacements which you solder onto the current ends of the existing links.

Here's what I did on my 1986 Lebaron convertible. This style PDC was popular on a number of Chrysler cars in the mid-late 90s and early 2000s. It has a number of mega-fuses and a bunch of smaller ones, ASD, starter and two fan relays along with a bunch of smaller relays.

I'm using this box from mid 2000's volkswagens. You can replace the metal fuse strips.

I used to have a PDC in my Shelby Lancer. It was part of an under hood harness from a '91 Lebaron GTC I modified at the bulkhead connector to make it work in the SL as a side benefit of converting the car to SBEC. The car is back to having fuse links and now an SMEC harness.
