Tuning with N2O (N/A V6)

95 dodge spirit 3.0 v6 5 speed w/ NOS Sniper kit

I have a dawes device hooked up and whenever I'm WOT it shows full rich(.99V+), even when I'm not spraying. I was looking at the jetting chart, and it looks like my fuel jets are rather large for the amount of nitrous I'm running. I was thinking I would scale back my fuel jetting until my dawes device reads green(.94-.98V). Does this sound good?

Just FYI my current jetting is:
size-N2O/fuel
35-26/18
50-30/22
75-36/24

according to everything I've seen aside form the manual, these sound way too rich! The nitrous nozzles sound a bit small for the shot sizes they claim too.

You can a little, but gotta be careful. Need to read the plugs too. Safer to be a little richer on the gun!

basically my plan is to go down one at a time, check the A/F, read the plugs, until my a/f gauge shows less than .99V. I'm gonna try to see if a local shop will let me borrow/rent a couple jets to tune with.

How much fuel pressure are you running? Thats critical info for nitrous jetting.

48 is stock, and I havent touched it. I'm gonna put a gauge on it before I start changing stuff

That does seem a bit rich then by the calculator I use.

You should be able to go down to a .014 fuel jet for a 35 shot and still be safely rich.

Don't forget, if you tune your fuel jetting to be close, you have to maintain consistent bottle pressure to keep the same amount of nitrous flowing.

Also, if you're rich now, you're bottle pressure may be a bit low.

True! The calculator I use assumes 950psi bottle pressure. Anything lower than that and it will be rich.

ya i just ordered a bottle gauge, and i'm gonna get a bottle heater.
