Hi all. I recently acquired a 1994 Caravan 3.3 that now needs an engine computer, 4727545. I have not been able to find a replacement. RockAuto shows my computer number as an alternative under Cardone part number 79-7442, but other suppliers do not show my number for this part. I contacted Cardone direct and they replied that they do not have a replacement for 4727545. Any input? Or anyone have a good used unit? thanks

Thanks. When I search on ebay all I find is the Cardone 79-7442 units that Cardone will not verify as replacing my OE 4727545 module (even though some sellers claim it will), along with the shops offering to rebuild my old original unit. I hope I don't have to send mine to a shop with unknown reputation. I was hoping someone had successfully installed a 79-7442 unit (OE 4727442) in place of an original OE 4727545, or tell me it won't work.
Used should work just fine... Are you sure it is the computer?

This is why I think it is the computer.
Started out showing code 43 from time to time, but ran ok.
Code 43 began to appear more frequently along with running poorly. Then the system would not show any codes at all, not even 5-5. Once it started showing codes again it would flash 4-3 three times rather than just once, one right behind the other, before showing 5-5. Inspected and tested the wires from the coil to the computer with a meter and they seem to be good.
