Description:
Just picked up a 1980 Omni 024 that I will be parting out. This car is a 1.7L car with most of the parts still in tack.
As of right now, there is somebody interested in the transmission, axles, and associated mounts, but most of the interior (Oxblood in color) is for sale minus the steering wheel and assorted 2 door L-body parts.
List of parts off hand: (all prices plus shipping unless otherwise stated)
1. Tail Lights (Both Sides) - $50 for the pair
2. Engine bay harness - $150 (everything included, sensors, alternator harness, and relays)
3. 1.7L Engine (complete minus mounts with approximately 107,000 miles on it, ran strong when last started) - $250 (will not ship)
If you want anything else, just ask. My goal is to have everything I would want pulled within the month and the car off to the scrap yard. I will pull anything I think may be worth saving, othrewise it will get crushed.
And before anybody asks, the car is beyond saving and will be chopped up to be used on my Rampage.

Steel or aluminum rear bumper?
Re: 1980 Dodge Omni 024 Part Out
When I took a magnet to the bumper support, it did not stick, so I would have to say aluminum.
Re: 1980 Dodge Omni 024 Part Out
Does it have the front fender vents?

Good pics of the taillights? I might be interested in those too.
Re: 1980 Dodge Omni 024 Part Out
After doing a power to manual steering rack conversion on two of my L body's I can tell you that those manual parts are getting hard to find. SO if it's got a manual rack, I'd say that's real sellable:eyebrows:
Re: 1980 Dodge Omni 024 Part Out
Yah. I have manual steering in my Rampage and I love it. But this thing had power steering.
Vigo, I will try and get photos for you and send them off. Hopefully I can have that done tomorrow evening at the latest.
Re: 1980 Dodge Omni 024 Part Out
It also has the windshield washer bottle by the fender, which is hard to find. So that will be pulled before scrapping.

If you can get pictures of where the crash bar bolts to the supports, I'd appreciate it. Please send them to my email at supercrackerbox1(at)gmail.com. If the mounting points aren't rotted out I'll take it.
Re: 1980 Dodge Omni 024 Part Out
supercrackerbox and Vigo, sent both of you PMs with links for the photos. Supercrackerbox, please let me know if the links don't work, and I could then send you them via email.
Re: 1980 Dodge Omni 024 Part Out
How about the door handles? Few years ago I parted an l body with non pull up handles. Interested if this car has them.
Thanks
Re: 1980 Dodge Omni 024 Part Out
I am planning on keeping the doors from the car since they will be back up in case something happens to my Rampage's doors. If that changes, I will let you know.
Re: 1980 Dodge Omni 024 Part Out
how are the floor pans and windshield?
Re: 1980 Dodge Omni 024 Part Out
Floor pans have been spoken for and the windshield cracked while trying to remove. Vigo was here earlier today and saw it initially, but after he left I tried getting it removed and it cracked on me.
