This here is a Peugeot 309, designed by the same people as the Horizon it was meant to be the European answer to the P body. Early models bear a striking resemblance to P bodies, only with a hatchback, and it was obvious at the time that this hadn't been designed as a Pug as it didn't fit in with the rest of their range.
The GTI version pictured makes 175 horses from its N/A 1.6 liter (Chrysler designed) engine.
