Well, back when i was 10 or 11 my big bro was deep into dodge daytonas and he owned about 5 of them, all either a v6 or n/a 4 cylinder. Then one night he brought home a 89 daytona shelby with the t2, this car was awesome, i got a ride from him and wow. i was amazed!! Unfortunly the dealer ship has to take it back because of some loan mix up...so he only had it for a week...I then inherited a 90 plymouth sundance which me sister owned and she blew the tranny..so she sold it to me for a buck and i put a used tranny in there and that was my first car. I then got out of dodge and began modding a 2000 grandprix gtp....which was fun...but i missed the easy to work on engine of my dodges...I then meet my girlfriend back in 02 and right by her house say a 89 daytona shelby. t-tops..just loaded...i passed it everyday and only wished i could find on like it...Then 2 years of driving past it, a for sale sign went on it...so for shits and giggles i decided to stop in and take a look. The car was in decent shape...but the engine was torn apart. Barly any rust....i got away with it for 600 bucks, which was too much i think..The owner told me his mechanic told him it needed a head because there where cracks between the valves..HAHAHA well, at this time ididn't know much about these turbo engines...so i got a different head....and tossed the other one.....DAMNIT...Well assembled her and got her running once again!!!! Then i threw a rod..and did a full rebuild with a s-60 turbo, built bottem end and the rest is history!!! I love these cars!! (Oh BTW, my bro is very jealous)
