Im Brian Bucar. I originally from western PA but I now live in western NY and work for SimplexGrinnell in Rochester NY.... enough of that boring crap.....
Frank and I were buddies in college when he was driving a TBI Shadow and I was driving a Taurus SHO. He and I swapped a V6/543 in the Shadow and I realized how easy older Dodges were to work on compared to the SHO and at that time I also was seeing the performance folks were getting out of the turbo cars. So when my SHO pissed me off for the last time (clutch..... again, aargh, and some rust too that I didnt want to fix) I decided to sell the car. At the same time my parents informed me that their little-old-neighbor lady was selling a 43k mile 88 Reliant for 525$.... soon it was mine and the turbo build began. I was driving a 89 TBI Aries as a winter beater too up until recently cause it needed to go to the JY long ago so I tossed a 3.0L V6/604 from a 90 Caravan into another 88 Reliant that I got for 225$
What can I say, Im a sucker for Square Cars.
