Hello! My name is Dodgeshadowchik and I'm a product of the Motor City. I live, breath, and sleep all things automotive. There is great beauty in these chunks of sheet metal; both in brand spanking new ones or ones rotted out in the salvage yard. Some live pampered lives; others are workhorses. Each and every one has a story to tell. It is these stories that are enduring.
I utilize both digital painting and photography to capture these icons of civilization. My purpose is to show that cars are not these big, evil entities representative of pollution and oil consumption. Rather, these are extensions of our very being. Think about all the memories that can be tied to a car. They all have character and give us freedom.
I graduated from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan. Since then I have worked at several race tracks capturing cars in motion. I have also worked on a few feature films, and designed t-shirts. Yet, no matter where life takes me, I find that there's a car right there to help me get through!
