Biography:
I'm a Daytona Fanatic! The first time I saw one was back in October of 1983, it was love at first site. It was a new (for then) 84 Daytona turbo in someones driveway. Metallic Red with Beige interior, Pizza rims, had dealer plates on it. From the 1st time I saw it, I wanted one, it became my dream car. Everyday I'd take the same walk from school just so I could see it. And if you lived back then and remember the streets filled with 70's 2 & 4 door sedans and 80's econo boxes, you understand how awesome the new G-24 styling was. It's as sexy today as ever, but back then, it was amazing!
I love the 80s. Graduated High School in 85, dead smack in the middle of the decade. Back then Turbos were exotic, and Mopar ruled the Turbo scene, just about every Mopar had a Turbo option! The streets were littered with them, and on cruse nights it was common to see Turbo 2.2s spank the 80's V8s. If you knew how to modify them, small blocks were fair game, many times easy pray! I find it funny how now days kids drool over 11, 12, and 13sec. FWD imports and call it amazing! Mopar guys were running those numbers back in the 80s!! Ahh, the good old days, premium unleaded was $.85 a gallon!!!

SOME FACTS:
I have been a Dodge Daytona owner since 3/17/1986, not one day has passed since that day, that I have not owned a Daytona.
I purchased my 1st Daytona back on that day: Brand new 86 Base model, silver, 2.5 TBI, 5 speed, black interior. Had it for 3 years, and loved every mile I put on it. Then on 3/24/1989 I drove back to the same dealer that I purchased it from, traded it in, and rolled off the lot that evening with my BABY that I still have to this day:
1989 Daytona C/S Competition. Red with gray interior.
I often think back to that fall day, back in 1983 when I saw a Daytona for the first time. It wasn't the regular route I use to walk home from school. But one of my friends was taking a short cut to his house, and asked me to go with him. It was out of my way, but I'm sure glad I took that route! It started a love affair that lasts till today, and it became my regular route home, for the rest of the school year!
