If your temp gauge is not functioning properly there is an easy way to trouble shoot it.

1. remove the connector from the temp gague sender located near the #1 cylinder.

2. Ground the plug.

3. Check to see that the temp gauge is pegged.

If the temp gauge is pegged, the sender is bad. If the gauge is not pegged, you have a wiring issue, or the gauge itself is bad.
