| I bought this car on eBay in January '08. Couldn't resist the $1k Buy It Now and my brother was egging me on to get it so, what the hell! Unfortunately the car was not in as good of shape as I had hoped. It had a blown turbo, no heater, and really bad paint. I couldn't even check the oil because somebody had JBWelded (is that a verb?) the dipstick tube hole shut on the block! After finally getting the car home, I replaced the turbocharger with a modified Turbo II unit. Now that the car could make some boost I discovered that it also had a bad rod bearing, trashed intake lobe, and broken rocker arm! Good grief. I haven't touched the car since because I have too many other projects. I can only hope it will live on again one day. |
