My 1986 Turbo Z C/S. Got it as a roller. The body was in great shape! Only one small rust spot the size of a dime on the floor. The bad was most of the interior was missing. I pick up a wrecked 89 Shelby for a donor car. Rebuilt the Turbo 2 engine, converted the wiring for a SMEC. The A-555 transmission, dual pivot control arms/K frame, the 11 inch disk brakes front and rear, and seats was also swap over from the Shelby. 3 trips to Harry's-U-pull-it in PA for the remainder of missing interior parts. I used it as a daily driver for a year. Not wanting to put it thru another winter, I took it off the road and got another car for a DD. My future plans are to remove the aftermarket sunroof and fill in the hole. Repaint it-one color. Not a big fan of the movie " The Wraith". Replace the carpet, headliner, and get the seats recover. A Stage 3 Calibration SMEC and a 2 1/2 inch exhaust. |
