I saw in my mirror he was coming fast so I give it throttle to make sure I don't slow him up. He's still there so I go full throttle. He must have stayed on it, but man I was impressed. I didn't lose him at all up to the next light. I thought those things were slower. Looked up what they got, that era they had a 3.0 with variable valve heads.

Hi,

Something blew in my 90 daytona, the tach, radio, map lights and dome light do not work. But the lights in the radio work (when you turn the headlights) but you cant turn the radio itself on. I checked all the fuses all checked out ok i do not have a under hood fuse box so where would be the next place to look for the problem? I know their is relay box in the drivers kick panel but everything worked just fine, then boom stopped working. Any help would be great.
Thanks

Hey guys how y'all doing?

Im starting to save up some money and invest it in my Daytona Shelby Z, my main goal is to make it RWD, as they were always meant to be.

So, a lot of things are going through my head, specially, which engine go with. A V8 is not in my mind, dont get me wrong, I love the sound and the horrendous amount of tq they put to the tires, but it's not what I want. An SRT4 engine does not sound bad, and I think they have allready been done.

But what I've always really loved, is the sound of a 6cyl turboed, specially the Skylines engine, RB20, RB25, RB26, all 3 of them. So my question to you, mopar speciallists, enthusiasts and lovers; how crazy does this sound? Can it be done? Do you think the engine will fit in the Daytona Bay? I've seen 440's in them, so I dont think that should be a problem.

Im planning on a stock engine to start with, probably just turn up the boost a little bit, with the proper fuel management adjusts; electrically managed by a megasquirt of course, I don't think that theres another option in this matter.

My neighbors where growing concerned over the ammount of cussing coming from the garage, so I quit for the day after about an hour of trying to reinstall the valve locks in my head and sending two halves flying never to be seen again.

Every time I compressed the stupid spring it would ---- itself sideways just enough to only let me get half a lock in it. I don't have enough hands to push the spring straight, compress it, AND install the locks at the same time. I also tried loading the retainer up with the locks FIRST and then compressing the spring but that's how I lost two halves.
Selling or Wanted Price: $1800 but really want trade
Description:
1996 Dodge Neon ACR 4dr 5 speed
1 of 252 Sedan ACR’s in 1996
Car is located in Orlando, FL
I bought this car about 2 years ago and have done a lot of work on it. The Car currently has Gold 04 neon RT rims on brand new tires. 1 month old. When I bought the car it had a bad head. Had all bad valves replaced along with 5 angle valve job and shaved .020. It was put back together with all new timing stuff including tensioner and Blue Gates Racing Belt. Also has Blue Gates Racing Radiator Hoses bought new when replacing head. All top end gaskets changed as well. Short Geared ACR trans. Has Stag struts about a year old on stock high rate ACR springs. Has Booger Shifter busings and short throw shifter. New pads and drilled and slotted Rotors 6 months old. Aftermarket Blue Granatelli Wires with Granatelli Coil. 3.0 Cold air Intake Set up. Car has beat out Cat with 2 ½ inch Fwd Performance full Exhaust. The car has been raced and dynod when built. Fast ¼ was 15.9 and dynod between 125-132 wheel. The paint is Satin black which I did slight sanding and painted with a gun. Not perfect but good. Car has RARE neon bra. Has cheap Kenwood Cd Player. The bottom in is completely stock and original with 176k on it. I bought the car with 167k. This is a daily driver and has been driven everyday for the last two years or so and is still to this day. The AC does not work anymore. The AC shop said it just needs a condenser. All AC lines where prev replaced but prev owner. Comes with Rest of bra and Front License plate holder.
I am looking to trade this car more than sell it. I would really like a 94-95 Dodge Dakota with a 4 cyl. Would also consider Any 87-93 Turbo Dodge. Would also take 1800 Cash with rims and tires or 1400 Cash with 14” steelies. Don’t be scared to offer trades weird things interest me. I can only say no. If you have any questions email me at southkurtk at cfl dot rr dot com. Text or call at 321-422-9622.

Hey all - couple of questions for the Holset experts out there. First, though, big thanks to Jackson for prepping my HE351CW and building an absolutely gorgeous downpipe, and also for providing clear instructions on how to properly install the turbo. You're a master artisan and mensch mechanic, Mr. Simler! :thumb:

A couple of issues popped up during the install that I hadn't encountered in any of the Holset threads on this forum (or that other forum). First, I did as instructed and installed the stock drainback elbow onto the Holset. When I put the turbo in position on the exhaust manifold, the drainback tube and the tube leading to the oil pan were very close, probably an inch or less apart, and were slightly out of alignment with one another. When I installed the silicone hose, there developed a bit of a kink in the bottom - not enough to block flow, but possibly enough to create a concerning obstruction. Any suggestions on what I should do? Perhaps trim a bit off of the metal tube leading to the oil pan?

The second issue concerns the exhaust manifold studs: because the Holset's flange is thicker than the stock turbo's, the studs do not protrude far enough for the bolts to thread on fully. There is enough length that I was able to torque the nuts to the required 40 ft-lbs, but the studs terminate about a quarter of an inch from the far side of the nuts; there's nothing poking past the nuts. Is this something to worry about? Should I install longer studs, or can I get away with the stock ones?

Thanks for any input you can offer!

Hey everyone I finally have my r/t running right and I currently have my fmic installed and I also have 3 inch exhaust and a few other little things. I bought +40s from someone and now I would like to put them on my question is what do I need to run these injectors? Do I need a fuel pressure regulator? Fuel pump? Or will I only need that stuff if I'm gonna run a bigger turbo.

Thanks,
