Well, I ditched the 600 vert and decided to keep the good parts for my GTS. I think I made a sound decision, as the only rot on the GTS seems to be on the brake lines. The body's straight, and the paint isn't even too terrible bad.

Anyway, I'll let the pictures talk a little bit. :)

I've got some go-faster parts to put on, like this exhaust from my 600. I paid like $400 to have it welded up a few years ago, and i think the components have about 20 miles on them, since the car only drove home from the shop. I had to cut it to get it off the car, but only in one place, and i'm just going to clamp it back together. The clamp goes right above the rear axle.

I've a recored T2 Radiator/IC from...well, I don't know. But it fit perfectly on both of these old beasts

Brand new struts that I got for $50 shipped from ebay for both sides. They ain't Konis, but I don't really care. ;)

K frame has new poly bushings, new ball joints, new tie rod ends, and most importantly, a working rack...Aaaaahhhhhhh:

The engine bay is pretty much ready. You can see my fancy shmancy hogged out fuel rail, AFPR, Gauge and +20s on the top of the pic. I'm going to throw some new 5/8 inch heater hose in before I put it all back together, but...:

Man, look at all that room in the nose. Could fit a might beefy IC up there!

And finally, the engines:

The one on the right is the one going in. It's a 88 2.2 I bought from Mike R. a few years ago, coupled with a 92 523 and a t2/t3 clutch combo, and an 89 garrett.

Anyway, just wanted to share. It still needs some cleaning, but it's sure nice to work on something that's in good shape like this is...

Very impressed with the choice of upgrades, especially to the K Frame. Let us know how the old Sedan handles once it's up and running!

Now get working :) I do like the lines of the GTS over the 600, so I think you made a good choice.

that's the same as my 87 with 180,000 miles. Pull the front carpet and treat any rust in the floors. While the carpet is up, get a couple cans of Permatex rust treatment. You can use plastic vac hose for a longer nozzle. Drill some 1/4" holes from under the carpet area into the rocker panel and spray away. The jack points are NOT rust proofed inside. The other area is the firewall to strut tower joint. You can't really see it, but it isn't sealed well. That's where the floor rust starts and travels down.

There is enough room to stick a 12x24 Mishimoto i/c in the front. It slips in from the bottom. Running the i/c hoses is harder.
