I would like to know if anyone has an idea as to where I might be able to buy a CHROME alternator for my Mini Van. I know it won't make it any quicker but sure would like to get one.

Just open it up and polish the case, take you maybe 2-4 hours

Then it would be polished not chromed, big differance in finish.
If I get off my wallet and go buy a good digital camera I could show you just how detailed I am getting. It borders on compulsive.

Chuck

I just got back from a meeting with some guys from one of the other forums and I showed them some of my handiwork.

What brand of alternator do you want chromed Chuck? The Nippo or Bosch. I could get it done, rebuilt and send it out to and also send out the baffle!

I will be going over Wed to where S-T-R-E-T-C-H is and see which alternator he has. The alternator you are talking about Simon will it be new or used ??
I would rather have a new one that way it will last longer. Will you need a core ?? Are you still selling us your two piece intake as well ?? Let me know how much for the alternator and how much you need TOTAL including the shipping.

Thanks
Chuck

I don't think you can buy new anymore?????????? but will check it out. Let me know what you have and I will do some research. The Nippo's are bulletproof and almost never fail. Mine has 235,000 on all I have done is new brushes.

Well I brought the alternator home and it is a NIPPO.
So let me know if you can get it done Simon and how much I will owe you.

Thanks

Ok, will do.

Ok, I can get a new 120 amp Nippo alt for $225 and its another $125 for chroming. So let me know what you want to do. That is Canadian as well. Didn't realize chroming cost so that much.

But unless it is CHROME , I don't want it. I can buy a regular one local and save the shipping. Just a pain in the butt trying to find a local CHROME shop when I am working 55-60 hours per week. Hopefully things will slow down around the end of this month, then I can look. If I can not find one to do it here local, then I will go from there.

Close?

200.00 CAD Canada Dollars = 173.946 USD United States Dollars
225.00 CAD Canada Dollars = 195.697 USD United States Dollars
175.00 CAD Canada Dollars = 152.197 USD United States Dollars

I do not think anyone can beat my price on the NEW units, every other place would require a core if you buy a rebuilt.
