I just got a radiator/intercooler set-up from a 1987 CSX. I REALLY hate to cut/weld on it for use in my new Shelby Charger. I'd like to trade it for a similar set-up from a GLHS or a Daytona. Since it may be a while before I start on this project, I may be convinced to sell it outright.

i got a daytona rad/int. was going to install in my wifes 91 shadow/ i have a 86 /87 lebron a/c cond. to install when i intercool it. i can try to get pic. i have heard that you have to mod. to fit in that year. the one you have might be a drop in? it has no cooling fan on it.AL

I got a guy that wants it. I'm sure it would drop into a Shadow.

I'll get in this line... I got an '87 Shelby Z rad/ic combo I'll gladly trade if everyone else ahead of me passes.

Put me in line too. I have an '88 Shelby Z rad/cooler that I'll trade.

Add me to the list......

BTW in 91 Shadow the core support changed so the 87-89 CSX asm will not just bolt in..... The one you need for a 91 car is the spirit R/t unit....

For purists, i thought the '87 CSX radiator/I/C and '89 CSX rad/I/C are a little different too? but the '89 CSX-VNT and '90 VNT p-bodies use the same parts?

I wonder why they changed the radiator support in 1991. That seems kinda odd for just three or four more years of production.

As far as I know the 87-89 CSX radiators are the same. The 90 VNT Shadow uses a unique radiator with plastic end tanks, different from the newer Spirit/Daytona R/T ones also.

I'm pretty sure the 89 VNT IC was slightly different due to it being the redesigned body as opposed to the 1G Shadows that the 87/88 CSXs were based on. Remember, it had an entirely different header panel with sealed-beam headlights, rather than the old-school 87/88 CSX.

Either way, Kevin, trade it and get that car to my house so we can get to work on it.
