View Full Version : Exhaust Pipe Bend Doughnut

Hey were can I get a 3" stainless doughnut(I think that's what they are called), you know the pipe in a small circle to cut off a tight radius bend.

cool I found that site and another as well, I only need a tight 90* because the 5" radius doesnt clear

I used the 2.5 mild steel for the outlet of my I/C and it worked out fine,Its high quality pipe and you dont realy know how tight of a bend it is till you see it.

Ok, this sounds stupid but how the hell do those donuts work? I looked at the last link and saw the pipe they had made but I am lost? the center of those donuts looks very small if you actuatly use them in the pipe?

You just cut the angle out of it that you want and weld it in the pipe,the one I got was 2 stamped parts welded on the outside and when welded in the pipe the inside of the bend need welded .But with the 2.5 inch pipe the total diameter of the bend is 7.5 inches.

I think I understand, you slide the pipe over it and weld it on, using the donut, correct? but the inside hole looks very small?

Its made the same size of regular pipe its just a 360*bend thats much sharper than most mandrel bends.
