Hi I'm getting ready to start putting a 89 CB in a 86 GLH and was wondering if all the accessories will fit on the new block? Parts such as the water pump, power steering, etc....

Thanks

PS pump/bracket and belt remain the same.

ACC drive pulley on crank, the serp belt, water pump, water pump
pulley, alt adjuting bracket is different but can be rigged, ALT actualy
sits a little different but again a makeshift belt can be used. When in
doubt grab all donor 88+ parts (89 up more common than some 88 stuff)
and throw the non-common stuff in the trash.

I saved all that stuff for years but over time your going to want to
keep everything uniform. Now nomatter the car/van I drive I just
walk in and ask for "89 2.5 Minivan" parts, no belt numbers to scribble
on the inside of the hood.

So, if I ever put in a CB, will my non-ac alt. bracket work?

Yes, it will all work. Use the crank pully from the '89 obviously, but otherwise the rest will fit easy. Here is what I use on my GLHT with an '89 2.5:
Water pump, pulley and housing- '86 Omni
Alternator and brackets- 86 Omni
Power steering pump, brackets belt- 86 Omni
Alt belt, a size in between the Omni and '89 Caravan. If you use a longer bolt in the alt adjusting bracket you can use the Omni's belt but it is a really tight fit over the pulleys.

You will have to notch the oil pan a little if you use the L-body water pump/housing.
