Putting an SRT4 engine into a 1st gen Neon, he wants the oil cooler hooked up so the inlet is a no brainer, it comes out of the block to the cooler so where do the outlet go-I am thinking I can tee it into the heater hose outlet? Dealer has no diagrams to help, :(

I'll ask my buddy to throw his in the air wednesday after work and I'll have a look for you.

Although it's really hard to see back there, it "looks" like it also goes to the block.
One of them to about the 4 o'clock position in relation to the frost plug that is on the passenger side.
The other looks like it goes to a fitting just above the frost plug that is on the driver's side.

It's really hard to tell 100% but that's what it looks like. I hope your block has those fittings.

Thanks but that doesn't make sense. The block is the inlet so to speak as it comes out of the pump, into the block and up thru the head, out into the rad, down and back into the pump. I will just tee it into the heater core outlet. Thanks for trying though.

Well, since I really stuffed my head up in there to have a look...Does the block you have contain 2 fittings on the back of the block?
You may be over-thinking this, because the oil cooler cooling may be no more complex than the turbo cooling on our 2.2/2.5's. It really doesn't look like it has a dedicated line from the water pump or anywhere even near that.

I could be over thinking, your right. It has a bunch of holes in the back, I plugged them off.

If your block has those fittings, why not use them?

Because It doesn't make sense and theres more than needed. Oh well, I'll stick with my original plan.
