Ok, I have a line on the diagnostic connector for our cars. This is basically the exact same "pigtail" that you get with an OTC 2000 (Chrysler SCI to 15 pin Mini). Here's my plan (assuming I can make the costs work): Sell this connector myself, and have a source for Palm cables to connect to it.

So, I'm trying to figure out if it's worth the investment to buy a batch of these pigtails.

Keep in mind, that MiniDash is only the first of a handfull of Palm aps I have plans for.

.

The diagnostic connector lends itself so well to simple 1/4" spades
when lengthening Im not sure you could break even when done, given
the cheap aproach TD car owners take.

Unrelated, lenthening your diagnostic connector to be mounted in
the car like later OBD-2 connectors makes life much easier :)

I'm guessing that if you were to splice this onto a Palm serial cable, then for that price, it would have the line level converter for older models correct?

I figure that you'd be most successful just selling a pigtail since some people will need the level converter and others won't. As for myself, I live in Canada and would be charged duty on anything expensive, so I'd just spring for the SCI pigtail and get the rest locally...
