Just got a call from an ex coworker. He needs a heate core replaced in his 1999 Bravada. How much of a chore is this and what should I charge to do it?

Thanks!

The entire dash has to come out, sh*t job, Mitchel book time is 8.0 hours. Good luck, your gonna need it.

This is very important, flush out the cooling system BEFORE you replace it.

On the first generation Bravadas although the service manuals & labor guides say the dash must be removed I can tell you it doesn't. Loosen a few of the lower dash bolts and there is enough 'play' for the heater core to be changed.

I'm not sure if this trick would apply to the second generation Bravadas like your 1999 but its worth a shot.

Totally different beast, the 94 and older ones are only 2.5 hours. If it has airbags, then its the newer model and 8 hours.

I think I'll pass on this one. Book says AC has to be discharged.
