Looking all over the net with no luck so far. Trying to keep this a ford-free site...lol, but anyway, can someone give me the fuel tank size for an 88 extended cab 2.9L Ranger? My float is bad and if someone could point me in the direction of a new float that would be awesome too.

Thanks.
Gary

As far as I can find only 14.5 gallons for the extended cabs.

I just picked up an 86 ext cab ranger with a non functioning gas gauge so I kinda had to check it out. lol

edit:
-15.2 for reg. cab short box
-17.0 for reg cab long box

2wd or 4wd no difference

Heck you'd figure it would have a bigger tank being an extended cab, giving more room...

ha, I had an 88 extended cab with a not working gauge as well... Luckily only ran out of gas once in it. 15 seems about right, but it's been a long time since I owned that truck.

Well, sounds good to me. Anyone know where I could possibly find a replacement float?

Thanks
