I really wanted to get one with less miles and not red but the deal was too good to pass up.

Features: 115k miles, A/C: Front, Cruise Control, Power Steering, Bucket Seats, Airbag: Driver, Airbag: Passenger, Cassette Radio, CD Player, Power Windows, Alloy Wheels

Selling Points: `94 Miata 5-speed, 27 mpg. 15” alloy wheels with Kuhma performance tires. Also, 14” factory wheels with all-season radials for winter driving. Flyin' Miata Stage II Turbo (165 hp at rear wheels), Flyin' Miata Kevlar clutch. New dual core radiator, new SPAL high volume fan, new dual exhaust. Factory hard top, Soft top & window in good contition. LeBra Bra, luggage rack, & trailer hitch. Also included is a Hard Core Roll Bar, 4-Fyin' Miata progressive springs (lowers 2”, great handling) & 2-RCI cam-Lock 5-Point 3" harness. Great car, handles great, fun to drive year round.

Thats from the add and the price was $4395. It has the stock springs on it now but it still handles amazingly. All the paper work came with the car including a dyno sheet backing up his claimed 165hp and it also has 150ft-lbs. May not sound like a whole lot but the car only weighs around 2300lbs so it moves pretty well. It also has some stiffer sway bars, drilled rotors up front, lightened flywheel and probably a few other little things I am forgetting.

If you haven't ever driven one of these things you really should give it a try. Even without the extra power from the turbo it would be a blast.

Must be a big difference from your van, pretty cool ride.

Certainly harder to get in and out of. Miatas are not for those with bad backs :).

Great choice!! I drove a 92(?) and was hooked. They wanted an absured amount of money for the condition, so I had to walk away :( It sat on the lot for no less then 2 years with a hole in the top, but o well...

Do you have any auto-x asperations? They are extremely capable. Whatever you plan on doing with it, I am sure you will enjoy it.

I might give auto-x a try. The mods will bump me into a class where I have no chance but I don't really care. I'd just be doing it for fun anyway.

Exactely, have fun and improve your own skills, that's all that matters!

Auto-X is a blast. I have seen some SM and M Miatas tear it up. If you are smart (aka use guys here at TM) with mods and suggestions, you could really tear it up. I think you may wind up in one of the mod classes.

Also has the window sticker which I thought was kind of neat.

Very nice.

You got yourself a great deal.

Hey, how come my Daytona Shelby city and hwy milage is better than this?

Might have something to do with the 4.33:1 rear end ratio. Thing turns 4k rpms at 75mph even with an OD.

That gearing is probably good for autocross :) Lets you be in boost all the time. :) However nothing beats a 5spd in those.

luggage rack, & trailer hitch.

4-Fyin' Miata progressive springs (lowers 2”, great handling)

the car only weighs around 2300lbs

 that's awesome

seriously though, nice car! I looked into a Miata until I realized I can't fit in one.

yeah it is a tight fit. The guy I bought it off wasn't a big guy but he was bulkier then me and he had removed the driverside door handle to make some extra room for his knee. I'm lanky so I reinstalled it and am okay. A tilt steering wheel would still be nice.

You could probably install one of those aftermarket steering wheels. Smaller in diameter and such.

A turbo miata would run in SM2 for autocross. Most of the cars in that class are miatas, crxs and corvettes. lol I dont know if you know this, but that top is worth $800-1200 by itself.

Yeah I know it. Pretty sure I got an okay deal ;)

Is that a trailer hitch I see on a Miata? Nice ride. I bet it would be a beast. I hope you are getting some new wheels. :p

He had a little utility trailer. The wheels aren't exactly the style I would have picked and I may get some different ones in the future. For now though I think they look alright and certainly better then the other set I have which are just steelies with trim rings.
