All,

I picked up an 89 Daytona Shelby that has a FWD Perf Stg V cal with +40's, Accufab RR/Reg, 3 bar. Stock FMIC.

My question is what degree thermostat, what spark plugs is recommended, what is the afr tuned to and max timing. Also what is the base FP to be set at?

I have a LM-1 to put in but it's not in the car yet.

Thanks,
Marion

Cal most likely runs a revised fan schedule, so a 180 would work best for the thermostat.

Plugs, I prefer Champ RN9YC's, a step colder than stock and work well under higher boost without fouling like the RN6's do.

Since the cal has no way to monitor afr at wot, and every car is a bit different it's hard to say about AFR. You'll be in a position to tell us when you get your lm-1 installed.

Base FP will be 55psi.

Chris,

Thanks again for the replies.

This week I'll get a bung welded in and voila. My bet is that it is in the low 11's. The car must have a 160 degree unit in it as the temp gage sets very low around 160 or so but for all I know the gage is whack. It takes a while to heat up. The car has 3 range colder plugs currently and the stock fmic and I've been told that it is alme w/o any direct air passing over.

Anyone patch in a stock SRT cooler yet?

Thanks,
Marion

Call FWD.

I remember she said she had 12 different cals that are all called stage V.

Say it ain't so..............can you slice mods on a 2.2 12 ways? It is a 18-20 psi tune.
