I'm going to help a buddy re-wire his '78 Lil' Red Express truck as many of the factory wires are butchered and/or burned. Does anyone have any wiring diagrams they could share with me? Also, what kind of covering was on these trucks from the factory? His wiring is covered in electrical tape from end to end.

Not according to thier website. Those years ('78-'79) they only have listings for Chevy, GMC, International, and Toyota.

Go to the junkyard. Those 1972-1993 trucks are plentiful in yards around here.

My old 78 Power Wagon had all the wire wrapped up in the black fabric tape.

And that tape is plentiful. I got mine at Dicks Sporting goods in the hockey department. They use it to tape the sticks.

Yeah, it's no problem finding that tape. They have it in the electrical section at all the hardware stores in town. I have a couple rolls of it for cleaning up the wiring harness on the Charger right now.

HOWEVER, I wonder if it's cheaper your way? The hardware store stuff is around $2.25 a roll here, what's it cost at the Sporting Goods store?

it's like 3.00 for a 30 ft roll at least around here
