Oh, boy. I really, really want this to happen. Fingers crossed that people come to their senses and everything opens back up by the time SDAC rolls around.

That's great to hear. I can't wait until I'm through changing diapers. Shouldn't be too long now...

we still have one kid in diapers (2.5yr) but he is so physically capable that its like he is almost 4. he drives the older kids power wheels, can bypass any child lock, puts things together etc.

Mine sounds like that, but not very smart. Everything is a hammmmuhhhh and everything not serving as the hammmmmuuuhhhh at the time needs to be beaten furiously. I don't take this as a good sign for the future.

That said, I'm hearing rumbles of stuff being cancelled all the way out to October. I'm really hoping that SDAC is a hardy and number loving bunch who realize that the China Flu ain't no thang. Surely by the end of next month people will be coming to their senses.

Please please open up the borders! If they don't open, please please postpone again. It will be easier for me to accept it. Na just kidding:o. Wish it happens and hope dearly that they open up. my fingers crossed too!

Yeah hoping the borders will be open by then! Is there any exception to cross the border for work or something?

Yes there are exceptions for essential work but I heard it is getting tougher as some entering Canada were not following the rules. Last I heard is the company needs to provide a $100,000 bond to ensure the employee follows the rules..self isolates etc. Due to this I need to help a brewery in Canada as it was difficult for us to get USA based staff to cross the border. I did not mind to help and they also sent me home with test samples:eyebrows:

I hate to say I think we're experiencing an event that's going to take 3 to 5 years to pass..and we're only a tear and a half into it

it well may be more with our great "captain failure" running the show up here

cool on the samples! maybe they can have you deliver more samples to SDAC to get across for work? LoL

Both. Our plan is to proceed with the event as planned unless some TBD/BS happens. An email was recently sent to the SDAC email list advising folks to go ahead and make reservations at host hotel (info on sdac.org) and we plan to open up SDAC-30 event pre-registration in May.
