 I bought a never used super 60 tubo, and put in on my project car, only drove the car about 20miles and now the dang thing is leaking oil out the exhaust side of the turbo and blowing oil out the exhaust. What would cause this on a new turbo, and what can I do to fix it? I have heard the seal ring might not have been installed right?

Check oil pressure. What did you use for the return hose-silicone only. It could be kinked or blocked, make sure the oil can return easily. If your oil pressure is not too high and the return isn't blocked, sounds like a bad rebuild or assembly on the turbo.

Who originally sold the turbo?

Oil pressur good, new hose from FWD performance, and it is only 4" long so this isnt any kinks. It is a turbonetics, that I bought from a guy on ebay, and he said it was new not a reman!

Check the actual tube in the block, could be plugged up. Also, they could have put a gasket on the oil drain tube at the turbo that doesn't have a hole or its restricting the drain.

and Ebay, could be a foreign jobby, did it say Turbonetics on it anywhere?

When I pull the motor I will check the drain tube, I might have missed it when I rebuilt the motor. But I installed the gasket and drain line on turbo, and they were ok. It says turbonetics on it and had a tag on it showing it was tested, I have a couple pics of it on my cardomain her is the link http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2428664/1

Wow, nice engine bay, :bounce2: :partywoot:

Yep, looks like the real deal. If everything is clear then I guess you got a bum turbo. Chris at TU should be able to get her fixed up for yeah.

I like the blown hose, looks like cheap rubber,

Yeah, they came with the hose kit I got, I replaced all of them soon after with a Gates silicon hose I swipped from work, it's about $3 an inch. It should hold up, I can barley bend it. We use that hose on our equipment where I work. Caterpillar 785 and 789 trucks that haul between 150-250 tons of material!

What are you doing for the PCV valve?

Right now just the stock set up, I replaced it and is still does it. I do plan on making a setup that I have seen other people do with a catch can.

Just for testing sake, take out the PCV valve out of the valve cover and seal the vaccum port completly to see if the car still smokes.
