I'm planning on swapping rear discs for the drums on my 87 Lebaron coupe. I have a disc rear out of a Shelby Lancer. Would the whole rear bolt onto the Lebaron? Or would i just need to take the brakes and associated hardware off and put that on the rear axle assembly in the Lebaron? Thanks.

Just unbolt the drums and spindle, bolt on the disc setup. You'll need to mess a bit with the lines and E-brake but it shouldn't take too long. I don't believe you can swap the rear axle.

Hey I just did this on my shadow, I couldnt get the lines out so I just cut them. How can I rejoin the two pieces? I have access to steel braded line but I dont know if it will be strong enough to withstand the pressures of the break system.

You have to reflare the old line, then get a new piece that is flared with the proper nuts, then buy a connector to join them together using the flare nuts. YOU MUST not use a compression fitting.

Thats what I was thinking but the line is SOOO small to be trying to get a flare on the end...

Also if you have access or are familiar with a chamfering tool before you flare it helps if you put a 45 degree tapering from the end towards the line.
