Ok, I found the thread about the LM pinout in the sticky, but what about the 50-pin to 40-pin conversion? Maybe one of the links was dead? Which wires go where and which aren't needed?

Anyone have a diagram?

Thanks,

minigts

Anyone have the diagram that pins out the bulk connector when doing a 50 pin to 40 pin conversion? I'm still needing this.

Thanks,

I love how I have posted this on 2 forums and no one had info on this?

I wish I could help. Wiring isn't my forte. Does anybody you know have a FSM? I think Andy has one.

Aren't these the ones in this thread that you are looking for?

well I need the pinout from the 50 to the 40. Not the pins, per se. I have both manuals and I have about 90% of the pins figured out, but there are a few wires for the 50 that aren't on the 40.

I need like a diagram or something to tell me where everything goes.

Aren't those the pinouts? That's what I was trying to link to.

he wants a step by step, ie:
40 pin connector pin 1 goes to 50 pin connector pin 3 ... etc...

Thanks Matt and Phreakish. Phreakish is right, I would like to know where each one goes. I have most figured out and I'll post what I have in a bit, but that's what I'm looking for.

Hopefully someone has the info.

Oh, ok. I see now. I'll try to compile it when I do mine so we can share notes.

We'll keep track here. I'll post questions, and hopefully people who know will chime in.

Speed control - is that just for cruise control? If so, I'm leaving that out.

This info may be buried somewhere at work in old fsm's. Tell me exactly what year/make/model wiring you have and what year/make/model controller you have. I'll look for it , photocopy it, scan it and post it for ya.

Ok...now we're rocking.

88 CSX-T harness going into an 86 Shelby Charger

I need the bulkhead pinout for the Charger, and the numerous connectors used in the CSX-T, since there is no Bulkhead connector.

Are you certian it's an 88 csx? My fsm shows a 50 way for 88 p body. Either way,I found the info and i'll photo copy it a little later on. I also recall a 50 way on my 88 shadow.

88 was the year for the CSX-t, right? That's what I have.

Send me what you have...whatever it is will be helpful.

a csx could be an 87 too. I sent you an e-mail with the scans attached. Hope it helps you out.

Matt, I got the wiring finished!!!!! I can't believe it, but I did. I call Mark from MF Wiring Solutions and he told me what the deal was. The problem I was having was with the ignition switch wires! I completely forgot the 50 pin connector is INSIDE the car. SO I was trying to make the ignition switches and relays work outside the car when I didn't need them in the first place. I'll get the pin outs and post them tomorrow as soon as I can. Should be the same in most respects for the Shadow.

Awesome!!! I can't wait for this. I might be able to get mine done in a reasonable amount of time. :thumb:

Did you recieve the scaned bulkhead connectors I e-mailed you? Are they readable?

Yeah...I got them. I'm working on printing them out and piecing them together.

I didn't see this question answered. Yes, Speed Control is just cruise control.

I left that out of my swap too.

to s is silent. I may have misunderstood the year of your csx. Does the "T" stand for turbo (87-89), or thrifty (87)? That may be why the confusion exists for the bulkhead connector. I assumed it stood for turbo, that's why I went for the 88 manual.

it's T for thrifty. You had the right year...CSX-T (for thrifty ;)) was 88. The TII CSX was 1987, and the CSX-VNT was the 1989 model.

They weren't readable at all. Thanks for trying though.

I have the P-body wiring diagrams though for anybody that wants them. I tried to upload them to my gallery, but for some reason I kept getting errors.

I have all the others too (SMEC Pins, as well as the female ends of these connectors)
