4 door Shadow runs 13s!

Took Rusty to the midnight drags last night on crappy street radials. Cooper cobra 205 60R 15s. Ran 13.9 @ 99mph twice, both best runs. I spanked a nissan 350Z with headers & exhaust, spanked a '92 vette, spanked a '99 camaro ss LS1, spanked a 2003 mustang cobra. It was a great night & I had a blast. I'm proud of Rusty (88 Dodge shadow 4 door) cause it's a stock TII 2.2L engine out of an 88 Daytona, has a doublewide FMIC (2 stockers), 5th injector, +40's injectors, AFPR, gen 1 dsm BOV, built A413 trans stock converter, stock computer, MAP cutout raiser, nothin special. I blew the stock Garrett TII back in July & just got around to rebuilding it, finished installing it on Saturday, race day. Boost was set @ 20psi, 2 stage boost out of the hole with 10psi. I have some videos of all the runs coming soon, I'll have to convert them.

Yeah I was a little worried about the V8 boys. I was killin the tree (for a rookie) with some .02 & .03 reaction times. The cobra, vette, LS1 SS, were all in order & the crowd went nuts! I like going out & showing what an old Turbo Mopar can do. REALLY pissed off the V8 guys. They couldn't believe I had a little 4 cylinder under the hood, they were searching for nitrous! HA ha!:lol:

No worries for next spring both the Dragavan & Rusty get serious upgrades & slicks.:eyebrows:

Just watched the video, funny stuff. Turns out the Cobra was asleep at the tree, then he bogged, then he spun the tires HARD! Too bad for him, I came to race. That pass I only ran like a 14.2!!:lol: The vette run is the best, crowd was crazy. I need to figure out how to get this from the sony Hi8 video camera recorder to my computer. It has a s video out port on it. Do I need Dazzle? Any suggestions?

Im running some really old 22inch mt slicks the best 60 ive cut is a 2.0. With my street tiresi can usally get a low 2.2. But im still runnin the mitsu:(

first off, nice runs! it's always fun beating up on the v8's!

as for the camrea, does it run those little mini DV tapes? or is this an old camrea that's all analog? if so, you'll have to use a dazzle, as it converts the analog signal to digital. if you run those DV tapes, you should only need a firewire cable to capture it onto a computer. sounds like yours is a digital one, (since you mentioned it has an s-video port) so you should just need the firewire cable.

Thanks guys, I've been outta the circle for a bit, went thru a divorce so, ... I got the dazzle software & I'm working on getting the vids done... Yeah it's a Garrett stocker turbo, car weighs 2720 without driver.
