Newyorker Digital Odometer Reads -----

My odometer in the NYer is now stating ------ Is there an easy way to make it read again. I had done that on and off for very brief periods of time before, but it has been that way for months now. I would like to again have the odometer function, as it seems like this should be an easy thing. I've read that they do this when the odometer is tampered with, but this came out of the blue. Any ideas?

Anyone know how to resolve this? I'll try to look through some of the literature which Gary D. sent me a couple years ago and see what I can come up with.

All I know is there is an * that appears if replaced, even by a dealer, or is tampered with.

I think the memory chip that stores the mileage isn't working. maybe some path to it, or the voltages for it to read correct are skewed.
