I've never had any experience with the original k-cars, only AA bodies, Shadows and Daytonas. There is a decently clean 83-85? Aries wagon LE 2.2 auto in my area that has reg plates from 1999. I looked under the hood and it was just dusty and had no battery. I did some research to find that these cars weigh nothing compared to my 2gn Neon R/T and Spirit R/T.

Questions are:
-What are bad things to look for on these old k's?

-Can I convert to 5 lug, 4 wheel disc brakes easily

-The engine probably is siezed after sitting so long, is putting a newer engine with SBEC-1 a runaround?

-Is this a bad idea?

I've brought back a handful of Dodge and Chryslers with intensive care and just curious about this one. Looking to have a cool wagon for utility and handling fun

Thanks!

Thanks for those pics! I have a feeling that it would look very similar to that if I stripped it down. I would most likely lift it on caravan suspension and use small mud terrains. I already have a V6 T850 trans laying around and would love to do a 3.3/3.8 swap into a utility minded vehicle.

Caravan wont fit.

But any of the front or rear suspensions form a shadow/daytona/spirit will bolt on.
I have a 93 Shadow front on my wagon and a 89 rear axle disc brake axle on my wagon.

There is a 1992-93 Shadow convertible 2.5 auto that has the standard 4 wheel disc brakes in my area. Maybe once I get a tow dolly I could grab both of these vehicles, and part out the 'vert of parts I won't need.

Thanks Johnny

CAR dollies are cheap enough at U-Haul.
