What 60' times are some of you running with the A-413 at what boost off the line and what type/size of drag slicks?

Modded trans, 4000 stall TC, 22 inch M/T slicks, OBX, launch at around 10-15 psi of boost, 1.9 60ft times.
Consistant 1.93-1.97 60's running 23"x7.5"x15" M&H slicks. I do a burnout one time for the entire time there. For the rest of the passes I just pull up to the line, bring it to 14psi and let loose. Hooks up great.
No idea what RPM at, I never look.

I'm running a 3800 stall in the CSX weighing in at 2790 (with me) and this car just blows my buddy's Hoosier road race slicks away leaving the line at more than 3 psi. Granted, I found that road race slicks only help a little more than street tires. This last weekend I pulled off a 13.742 at 100 MPH with the new head and a 60' no better than a 2.20, which is what got full blown slicks running through my mind. I'd like to find a size to be able to use stock wheels though. The road race slicks were 8" wide and seemed to clear the strut by a finger width.

23" sounds more like what I would like to use. 14 psi would feel insane in the CSX for sure. Leaving the line at 3 psi is pulling around 0.7 G's as it is.

LOL, I don't either! I only see that stuff in the data logs when I pull into the pits.

I was running the 22's on 6.5" crabs and they cleared no problem. I have some 24.5's for next year but they won't clear the strut so I am having to use spacers.

I looked at your times, that van is quick. How much boost are you pushing before you launch and how much are you pushing down the track?
I ran a 413 in a 2.2 T-II Spirit. Easy mid 1.85-1.9's on 23" M&H's. I ran about 14 psi in them, gave them a quick scrub off (no water), pulled to the line, brought the boost guage out of vacuum to zero, when the first yellow hit, I'd floor it, when the 3rd yellow hit, I came off the brake. Ended up leaving at about 10psi.

Yep, mine are 8 inches wide and just clear the strut, :partywoot: :bounce2:

On the Horizon, 23.5" M&H's stockish stall speed, about 10psi in the slicks, leave the line w/ as much boost as I can without it pushing thru the lights, i get 1.68-1.79 60 ft times.

around 8 lbs at the tree, then 28 down the track

Consistent 2.0-2.1 on street tires. Shelby Z with a mitsu if I remember right about 5- 8# boost at launch then 15-17# down track. ran about 14.9.
I actually really liked the combination at the track, beat a lot of faster street cars because of the launch.

I am recently looking at the M&H 23x7.5x15 slicks. Any more people running these that haven't posted yet?

I'll let you know next year when I get my 413 rebuilt and convert the car back to an automatic.

I brake torque mine up to ~3k rpm, 0 psi (3K is the stall speed, so I launch it on boost not RPM, try to keep it at 0psi). When the 3rd yellow hits, I release the brake and floor it. ~1.95 60's times +/-0.05 - very consistent. Max boost is 15psi, and I wrote my cal to ramp up the boost from 5psi at 0mph to max by 15mph just to try and control wheelspin in the 60'.
The trans is a basic race build (5-clutch), but nothing else special, RMVB, 8" 3K stall converter from Dynamic, 22 x 8" MT's on 6.5" crabs.
I want to build a traction bar setup like (I think it was...) 2.2=v8 did on TD.com. Too bad it appears that all of the old threads are gone over there. Or, do you just have to be a paying member to see the old threads?

man that sucks about his threads being gone. He had a great idea there

Want mine? It's built and I want to put a 5spd in my van.
My setup: Big heavy-asss van with a 413. 5 clutch pack, 5 pinion planetary gear ring, Rob Pachner rebuild, rebuilt torque converter with torrington bearing, RMVB.
On 205/60/15 Cooper Cobra street tires I was launching at 3,400 RPMs getting 2.23 60' times. I'm also running 21psi of boost, so I'm no help.

1.96- 60'. I have gotten that more than once on pure 300 treadwear street radials. My worse 60' times are 2.0's. I launch at part throttle and hold it there until the tires hook with no boost built up from about 3200 rpm. I have a 4000 stall conveter.
