After years of my truck working "ok" but not right, it finally is great now. Local place made me like my truck again , so decided to fix it up.
Gutted the butterscotch colored interior and starting over.

Stainless steel seat platform all welded. PT Cruiser seats fit with late 90's Dodge truck center section.
Next to make the brackets to install into the truck.

Got the brackets made and weld. Fits great.
Now took them back out to weld up the cracks in the floor caused by the stock seats.

What bedliner material is it? A hard type or a rubbery type?

Scuffed up the floor and then wiped it down with cleaner.
Brushed in the bedliner.

I used brush on Herculiner. Not sure how hard it gets. I have a factory style, insulated rubber mat thats going down on top of it.

Intercooler hose leak fixed. Fuel pin and adjustment.
Also while at it a water pump, idler pull and belt.

They said the adjustments were all wrong.
".................
before that I installed new injectors, a lift pump and a rebuilt injection pump.
i also did all new brakes and a rebuilt trans.

Oh ok, that's good that it's fixed. I was just thinking if you ever got the fuel mileage thing figured out or not. I got a 91 non intercooled a while back and I've done a lot to it. Added intercooler, put an he351 on it, and tuned the pump.

Did you add a timing spacer? The timing spacer is an awesome piece.

Got a new latch installed, sometimes the door wouldn't stay closed. Now it does.
Also added the grey door panel.

Test fit a 2nd gen back seat to my 1st gen. NO leg room, but would make a good nap bed while traveling.

Made stainless steel boxes for the seat to bolt down to. They bolt to the truck using the holes the old jump seats were attached with.

Rear seat.
I shortened the seat bottom 5 inches today. Took it all a part and cut the steel seat frame.
The original seat foam is pretty thin and it sits on a canvas sling.
Since the sling is now 5 inches to long and cant tighten it, I welded steel mesh on the bottom and then added
foam plus the original foam because it wraps around the front bar. Had to revise the latch system....which was the
hardest part of the job really. Used zip ties to hold the seat cover in place.
Installed and works pretty well. Kids can fit back there now. Or can be used for a emergency nap while traveling.
Or to toss luggage in there if you flip up the seat bottom.

First I used something like dynomat on the trucks ceiling.
Then my gal helped me install the headliner into the truck.
Added a few pieces of the trim.
Then did the mat and insulation on the floor.
Added the rubber floor mat, but it needs to get warm to "relax" a little
so I can install it right. Will do that tomorrow with a electric heater.

Project is about done.
Rear seat works. Front seats are great.
Seat belts installed for the front seats, still need to do the rears.
Center console that is a great arm rest is nice to be able to fold up for a third seat.
Still need to add some trim and the shifter boot.
Installed a couple bump stops for the rear seat to sit down on.
Next is to design and make a cup holder.

I made and used diamond plate for door trim but not really liking it so took
some trim from a newer club cab Dakota and trimmed it to fit my truck.

I like it better.

Truck heater is better now.
Saw this fix on a 1st gen Dodge truck facebook page.

The heater box (below the glove box area) gets full of leaves over the years.
I cut a 4-1/2 inch hole. Vacuumed it out.
Then added a round removable door I picked up at a marine supply store.
Screwed the ring in first. Then the round "door" screws into the ring.

Next clean-out will be easy.

I did the same thing on mine but used a clear deck port. My clutch cycling switch on my A/C is broken so I can watch the evaporator ice up and turn the compressor off manually.

Good idea...and you'll know when its time to clean it again.
BUT I thought that was the hot/heater not the evaporator.

The heater core is mounted more towards the center of the dash.

does your truck have a removeable cowel top ?

I haven't read the entire thread so I don't know off hand exactly what truck this would be
but if your cowel top is removeable there's something you might want to look for
a "street scene" (brand name) smooth cowel top cover

I bought one for my 01 f150
painted it makes the truck look much better than the black plastic vent at the bottom of the windshield did .. and it does something else that's even better

it keeps the junk and rain out of the cowel top altogether

no crap blowing out of the vents and even better , my a/c doesn't stink like horse manure anymore because the rain can't collect in the heater box now

5 years it's been on my truck now and I haven't had a moment of stink outta the a/c since

strret scene smooth cowel top is fiberglass $100-150 ish
Jegs and Summit used to carry them along with some of the truck parts places

Jegs also do astra hammond rear pick up louvers cheep too

Sold the truck 2 weeks ago.(deposit) He flew in from Texas paid for it, and is driving it home. He left this morning.
He seems happy with it.

I already replaced the truck with this SRT.
