Had a blast Texas Motorplex yesterday with some good friends! First run in the CSX since the head, intake, TB, and .63 housing on the Super 70. The car feels real strong all through the RPM band now, especially out of boost driving, but the borrowed 22.8" tall road race slicks went into a violent spin if I left the line with more than 3-4 psi. Enjoy

Added another video of my wide band log w/ track sound mixed in.

The run was:
60'...2.270
1/8...8.8
MPH...81.67
1/4...13.742
MPH...100.43

Scales showed 2790 lbs w/ me in it.

Any suggessions on which slicks you guys like to run?

How much air was in your tires my slicks never hooked until I lowered the air pressure to 10psi then they bite so hard they make the car almost quit

25 psi. With the extremely hard side walls, I was worried about having them too low. The guy I borrowed them from road races Neons with Ed Peters and I didn't want to tear them up too bad before he had to race this weekend, but I didn't know how tough as hell those tires were. Normally with street tires I would have rubber all down the side of my car after a burn out, I left there with only a little dirt down the side. Also, with the emergency brake not working very well, I don't think I could get them warm enough at the line. That car was REALLY loose by the end of the track though!
I posted in another thread and am getting some fairly good thoughts on what to by.

Just to show you, you're car, one looks to be in great tune. Secondly, traction will really put you down there. Me, on a slipping torque converter in a 3,000lb car looked like this:

60' - 1.919
1/8 - 8.671@77.72
1/4 - 13.726@96.77

I use 23" M&H slicks. Road racing tires are no good until they're drove for a while and warmed up. I set the slicks to 12psi, any lower and they walk on me on the other end.

Thanks, I've work year round for a few years with the tuning, but I was having serial issues with the laptop and wasn't able to change my tune for the 104 octane so it was a bit more rich than I had wanted it.
