Wow, I'm completely flabergasted!! This thing is a slow POS!! My old Shelby Z with the Mitsu at 13psi and a Talon IC was faster than this!!!

60' 2.646
330 6.890
1/8 10.283
MPH 71.49
1000 13.20
1/4 15.655
mph 91.99

Wow, I just cannot believe it!! Yeah, I got crappy street tires. Yeah, I haven't lauched a FWD for years and never with a stick, but still!! I thought I'd at least pull off a 14.90. Geez.

I pulled the grainger out this morning and let the Blueberry control boost. A few interstate passes showed the boost right to 18 psi and steady. At the track, 2nd wouldn't boost past 12 and 3rd barely went past 14. On the way home, 2nd-4th boosted to 18 again. Only difference is rolling in 2nd to start on highway and of course from a dead stop through first on track.

In 4th at 18 psi I'm seeing 1300 EGT (probe in #1). Full rich on the A/F. Maybe I should pull some pulsewidth out.

Well, I won't be back at the track this year, so I really won't be able to do much experimenting.

90mph is good enuff to get you in the 14's and with practicce on teh 60' you should be able to get there. 0.1 seconds off the 60' ~ 0.2 seconds off the 1/4 mile time, so if you can get it down near a 2.0 60' you got 14's no problem.

I know the 60' absolutely suck. Launching a 5-speed FWD on street tires may be nearly impossible.

If your too rich, it will slow the turbo spool and you will get lower boost and bogging. That can explain why you hit 18 psi on the street as your moving and the turbo is already hualing so to speak. I find when I am too rich, this happens to me at the track, :(

That makes sense. I don't have any bogging, it just didn't want to spool up. EGT's aren't as high as I think they should be, but that's OK for the first time out. I may take some pulsewidth out of the cal and see how it reacts.

Maybe just a dirty grainger valve. When the vent hole gets clogged, it can cause the boost to drop down and fluctuate.

Maybe just a dirty grainger valve

As in the original post, I removed the grainger valve. I'm trying using the computer to control boost.

I think I finally found it. When I scaled the Blueberry from +20's to +40's, for some strange reason, my FuelFullThrottle table did not scale properly. I might have typed the wrong value. Instead of about 80.79% pw, it looks like I had 90.79% pw. That would make it run quite fat at WOT.

I just ran up the highway and it really, really has more pull at WOT.
