195/50/15 is the OE GLH size. I forget the other sizes available on lesser models but all sizes had about the same over circumference. The larger tires will fit but the speedometer will not read correctly. I have that size on a Shelby charger, improved the ride some what but handling got a little squirmy.

195/60/15s will fit on an L body. Had them on my Turismo 2.2 many years ago. I had 205/60/15s on my GLHS to move it around, they fit but just barely. But yes the 195 60s will fit. Back when I had the Turismo 60 series were MUCH cheaper than 50 series, but nowadays 50 series are pretty cheap too for 15 in rims.

205/60's rub when turning, at least on my 'S they do. 195/60 fit fine, I had Firestone Affinity tires and liked how they handled.

I have 195/60/15 tires on my GLH and they're fine most of the time. If the car is loaded and I go over a big bump then I get rubbing in the rear. Also, The paint on the springs is rubbed off where the tires rub on them (I don't think this is a constant rubbing however). So the clearance is tight! And obviously, the tires look a little balloon-ish compared to the normal size...

I had 215/50/15's on my GLH-T on 6.5" crab wheels and never had any rubbing, even with the car fully loaded with 2 fatties in the back.

I'm running 225/50's up front right now, and will be in the back too as soon as I find the right spacer.

Here is a good tire calculator I use to figure out tire heights and how far off the speedo will be.http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

I have 225/60/15 on my 85 charger. It will rub when I make sharp left or right turns. Handling is better than my 87 GLHS.
