After repairing the head and changing the TII turbo to a
TIII turbo w/.63 A/R turbine housing I finally went to the track last night.
Ran a best of 12.24@112.66,7.90 1/8th@89,and a 1.75 short time.

FINALLY SOME PROGRESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ran a best of 12.24@12.66 is that supposed to be 126.6mph??

Judging by the 1/8 mile trap speed, I figured he meant 116.6 mph.

Damn dude, thats flying. How much did you pick up over the TII and stock wheel on the TIII turbo with a .63 housing? Did you run more or less boost than before? Sorry for the questions, I loved my TIII turbo on my 8 valve setup but should have got a .63 housing for it.

Ken needs to read the post again, apparently I am not the only one who can't read.LOL

Same boost level,it would just keep the boost up longer before the 16v head
would out flow the turbo and pull it down from 20 to 15psi.

Here is the plan for improvements in order:
1. MSD Dis 2 box-lets it build boost on the line, installation in progress.

2. 57 trim/stage III,20+ psi from gate to gate, should be ready this week.

3. hybrid 3.50 geared trans, have the 523,will build it over the winter.

4. 100 hp shot of gas, have the parts to install, will happen over the winter.

Goal is to run mid to high 10s in a street legal, full interior GLHS that is also nice enough for a car show.

perfect goal!

i've only seen one 10 second street legal TD worthy of a 1st Place show trophy: Ohio Rob's Charger.

are there others?

Reeve's car is pretty nice.

The best car I have seen, even besting Ohio Rob's Charger is Warren Stramers Laser, that car is unreal, the workman ship and one off parts are, :peace:

So is that what happens with a stock T-III turbo? It drops from 20 to 15 psi? I'll find out soon....... Sounds like it's hauling the groceries good though.......
