I need a turbo SBEC, I am pretty sure it doesn't need to be a VNT, a 2.5L should work. I have a socketed one, but it apparently is bad. My problem is documented here: http://www.turbo-mopar.com/forums/showthread.php?81710-SBEC-problem and I am pretty well positive it is an SBEC problem.

Thanks for any help.

1990-91, even possibly 1992. I plan on adding the 3 wire speed sensor anyway. I compiled a list of 2.5L TI SBECs from my Chrysler parts lists. Right now I just need to get one that I can run the engine with and then see about socketing it, or use it as a core for Cindy at FWD perfomance on one of hers. If you want the list, PM me with an email and I will send it to you. Thanks!

92 will be SBEC 2, slightly different wiring from 90-91 SBEC 1. Maybe that's the issue you're having?

Don't know, no numbers on it of any kind. It has been socketed so I don't have the eprom label. I got it from turbovanman a few years ago. I have sent him a message on both sites, but no reply yet.

I have one. PN 5276407 1991 2.5 TI
Lists for 1990 and 1991. Don't know if it's auto or manual. I think I pulled it from an automatic LeBaron.

$50 plus shipping.

It's definitely for a 1990/91 2.5L TI automatic, sounds good to me. Let me know on shipping. Do you take PayPal or Google Wallet?
Thanks!

I went through the pinouts, only difference I could see was the speed control, a part throttle unlock and one different wire to pin #57 for the alternator and injector feed sense.

There's a difference also on the ASD sense pins that will make it not work quite right without moving a pin.

Rob, glad to see you are still around! I believe I bought the chip for the SBEC from you a few years ago. Are you referring to the Injector Sense/Alternator Feed to pin #57 on the SBECII vs the Z1 or A61 sense to pin #8 on the SBEC? I had noted that one already myself. After finding the SBECII was set up for steering wheel controls for the speed control, I ruled them out completely. Thanks for the information!
