Well, working on this fricking conversion and starting to really hate it but anyhow, I have a SRT4 engine and he supplied me with a DOHC valve cover. Not sure if the SRT4 ones are different but this one has 2 bolt holes in the outer ends of the center, the SRT head has only one thread sooooooooo do I need to run a SRT valve cover?

srt4 valve cover is all in its own, which dohc head did you get? srt4? or just a reg 2.4?

you could break out the tap set.

you could break out the tap set.

That could be an option but theres no mounting boss under the open bolt hole. I am just going to get the hole welded up.

I'm not sure of the cronology of it all... but here is what I have found in my experience. 1995-2000 heads and SRT-4 heads use different valvecovers, spark plugs and spark plug wires. I'm not sure about N/A engines 2001-up.

Simon, you are best off staying with 2004-5 SRT-4 stuff. Heck the valvecovers are only like $40 if you buy em new from Mopar.

Sure, I was searching Ebay and the powder coated ones start at $119.

mopar performance ones are $200 red yellow blue or chrome. A brand new one is like $50 just for a regular one. It would probably be cheaper to buy a new one and send it to mpgmike and let him do whatever color you want

You could always get the carbon fiber one for $500.

I saw that, yowzer,

The $119 ones look sweet though. If I ever used a Neon head, that would be the way to go,

Simon, I've got the one off my car (swapped for a new one I painted wrinkle black). It's dirty as all hell right now. But I can sand blast it and give it a nice wrinkle coat for you if your interested.

Like it is, or do you want me to sand blast and wrinkle coat it? It's pretty dirty right now, lots of salt and some oxidation from last winter. Nothing a good cleaning won't fix.

How much either way, then I can call him and find out if he wants it.
