Does anyone have a 520/555 for sale. Wasn't going to go with this for my
L-body charger, but I figure that if I have the 525 out, why put one back in. I'm also looking for the shifter and cables. I was told that I could use an intermediate shaft from a g-body with 90 l-body automatic axles, shortened g-body axles, or driveshaft shop axles. If you have anything, please PM me. I live in Hendersonville, TN.

I don't think he's looking for a hybrid. I think he is just looking for an A520 or an A555.

I have a 555 with 80 some thousand miles on it. It doesn't have cables or cable bracket but I could throw in the shifter.

I have the cable + bracket. $30. + shipping. Also have a 3.50 final drive from a 87 520, which will work in a 87-88 555 only.

Thats the way I was thinking, but chew on this too.. In order to put one in your L-body, you either have to Beat the ---- out of the floor to make it flat, Or cut out a decent sized piece with a torch and weld in new floor material. then you have to make two holes for the cables to run through. Also, your shifter will never look stock in the interior again, unless you get real crafty.(cutting the interior pieces) For mounting, depending on what transmission rear mount you use, you have some work to do. If you go solid mount, you MUST weld in new tabs on the K frame. if you keep the old style Gas strut, then you can use a long bolt. Just wanted to tell you hom much its going to suck, I had the same mentality, and didn't realize what all I had gotten myself into untill I was past the point of no return.

Good luck

p.s. theres no feeling like a 555 tho, there really something compared to our 525's
