Fresh rebuilt TI in an '86 600, new bearings, rings, etc. Broke it in w/o a gvalve, WG straight to manifold vacuum, put on the Gvalve ran great, had a hep go bad so I replaced it. Its now developed a nasty knock. The knock isnt consistant and has a rattly sound two it but has the tone of rod knock.Im almost sure ts not rod knock, there is NO metal in the oil at all, there are no leaks and there is absolutely no smke, the plugs are black from running w/o a gvalve but are new. I dont think its piston slap cuz it doesnt do it at idle, just when you rev it to around 2500rpm in neutral and it does sometimes when driving. WTF? The car is an auto and has a new torque converter and a recently rebuilt trans. Im completely baffled!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!
