Looking at kits, basically for me in the future and my customers now. I see that 4300K is the whitest, followed by 5000k, 6000K and then they go purple from there. I have been clicking around and they say 4300 is the closest to sunlight but clicking on one websites pics, the 6000 seemed brighter. Due to info etc, I am opting to get the 4300 for him. Anyone have any input??

6000K are the ones that come standard on BMW's, Mercedes, etc.

Hopefully that helps you for reference.

Hmmm..

I was looking for a set of HID's for my truck. I had a fairly involved conversation with the store I was looking to buy these off of.

I asked him what would be comparable to the HID's I had on my BMW 330i. He said BMW's and Mercedes come stock with 6000K (the new cars).

SO, I took it at face value, but then again maybe he didn't know what he was talking about anyhow. And I never did buy the HID set up for the truck. LOL

Simon - I do still want to convert my truck to HID. If you get a good deal, I'll buy a set off ya!

Hmmmmmmm, the guy I found uses Osram ballasts, which are good stuff and a 18month warranty. I might become a seller of these kits, he's selling them at a pretty good deal. Hows $165 plus shipping? What bulb do you want and colour, I am going to order them today or tomorrow.

Think I am going to go with the 4300 K.

my brother has 8200k on his maxima and they are alittle blue not crazy

I would go with 6k for a white light.

I plan to go with 8k on my spirit since it isn't a daily driver and maybe put 6k on my jetta only because I drive 30k a yr with itl.

4300-6000K are white but 8000K is going to the purple colour. Decisions decisions?

don't forget to get a bulb that works in a non projector headlamp, as some require a projector headlamp without it will look like butt.
