Does anyone know why the left and right rear strut mounts are so different in price when you price them from Mopar ? The right rear strut mount is $91.00 and the left one is $40 from the dealer. Rock Auto has the left Mopar one for $25 and the right one for $91. What's up with that ? All the other manufacturer's on Rock Auto just say rear ( not left or right ) and are priced anywhere from $36. to $56 per PAIR.
I'm putting in new rear struts soon. And it just so happens that the right rear strut or mount is making a lot of noise back there.

A lot of aftermarket parts are made to have a universal fitment for inventory and (ultimately) cost control. One part number to make/maintain/stock is certainly cheaper than two.

The aftermarket makes one mount with two holes and supplies the bolt loose so you can pick the side needed.
